Q. I am interested in applying for an EFF program, when do applications open?
A. EFF application notices will always be emailed at least two months prior to the deadline. If you are interested in a program, check back to our website and make sure you are subscribed to our mailing list.
Q. Are EFF programs open to pediatric fellows?
A. Absolutely! All of EFF's programs are open to pediatric fellows. While the focus tends to lean towards adult treatments, there are typically pediatric fellows and presenters attending.
Q. I am a PhD student, can I apply to the Forum on Metabolic Bone Disease ?
A. Absolutely! This is our most diverse program in that it typically yields 50% PhD students and 50% MD students. We also routinely have almost as many international attendees as US-based.
Q. I received a grant in 2022, should I plan on being at the 2023 Forum?
A. Not just yet. All 2022 grant awardees will be asked to participate in 2024. This is to ensure that you have had enough time to complete your research and to have data to share!
- The Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Research Forum is typically held in early February.
- The EFF/ASBMR Forum on Metabolic Bone Diseases is typically held in September/October in conjunction with the ASBMR Annual Meeting.
